According to Angry Ape, Cheryl Cole is looking to expand her career responsibilities; the singer and talent judge wants to have a go at managing up-and-coming artists.
Apparently the Girls Aloud singer has not been content by merely being part of the girl group or a judge on X Factor (not to mention her budding career as a solo artist). Rumor has it that Cole plans to discover new musical acts, though not until Girls Aloud have officially split.
ContactMusic quotes Cole as saying: “I have what it takes to make it as a manager and will give it my best shot. I think there is a lack of good female management in the industry. Since Girls Aloud have been managed by a woman, we have gone from strength to strength.”
It’s also become apparent that Cole is currently working on her solo debut. The album is scheduled for a release later this year, and producer Will.i.am has called it a “big, big record.”
It was also recently suggested that Cole will become the new face of X Factor after Simon Cowell leaves the show to expand his business interests, and she may appear on a possible American version of the show. If all of this turns out to be correct, it seems Cheryl will certainly have her hands full.
