Jet Frontman Released from Hospital

Nic Cester, singer for the band Jet, has reportedly been released from the hospital after on onstage collapse at a London performance.

The singer fainted twice during the band’s gig at the Hard Rock Café after apparently complaining earlier in the day that he wasn’t feeling well.

According to Digital Spy, the University College Hospital in Euston released the Australian rocker after being admitted Monday night for severe high blood pressure and dehydration. NME reports that Cester was treated for symptoms of gastroenteritis, acute vomiting and dehydration.

Though doctors obviously recommend that the singer not take the stage tonight for a performance at London’s Parker McMillan, Cester has already confirmed his appearance there tonight. Cester and the rest of the band are requesting that promoters put an ambulance on standby for the duration of the show.
Jet have also requested extra bottles of water to avoid any further problems Cester may have with dehydration.

The band is also scheduled to play the V Festival during the weekend of August 22 and will release their third album, Shaka Rock, on September 7.
