A UK leg of the world tour from hitmakers the Black Eyed Peas has just been verified by the band. The band will be performing in the country as part of The E.N.D. World Tour, beginning May 5 at the London O2 arena.
The group will play four dates total, with two of those dates being scheduled for the London O2. The Black Eyed Peas will wrap up this particular touring stint May 23 at the Manchester MEN Arena.
Each show played in the UK will be followed by an official after party. Tickets for these shows can be purchased starting Friday, December 18.
According to BBC news, the quartet’s latest full length effort sold more than a million copies in the UK. The Black Eyed Peas also released three consecutive songs – “Boom Boom Pow,” “I Gotta Feeling” and “Meet Me Halfway” – to No. 1 status.
The Peas promise that this will be their most “ambitious” tour yet, and will kick things off in the US this February.
Virgin Media quoted AEG Live President Rob Hallet on the matter: “As innovative as ever, the Black Eyed Peas will bring the show and aftershow together to provide 21st century entertainment for the most jaded concert goer. Have an early night before you come to this one, as the Black Eyed Peas will keep you dancing all night.”
Rapper will.i.am of the group recently announced new ties with recording artist Kelis and his own record label, saying of the signing: “Kelis represents the kind of edge that pushes all of us not just musically but stylistically as well.”
