Absent Elk to Tour With Girls Aloud
A new band likened to The Hoosiers have been chosen to support pop group Girls Aloud on their UK tour this spring. Absent Elk will join the Girls Aloud tour for 11 dates

Absent Elk hail from Brighton are a probably best known so far for their covers of Lady Gaga’s Pokerface and Girls Aloud’s The Loving Kind. The two covers were a smash on YouTube and were watched in their thousands.

The band will be supporting Girls Aloud on tour for much of their tour and have already been receiving positive publicity from The Guardian and a host of online music magazines and blogs. They have drawn comparisons with The Hoosiers for their upbeat pop sound and they even supported them on tour last year.

The band are also due to release a single in the next few weeks. Their debut single, “Sun and Water” will be released on May 17th.
