Dizzee Rascal claimed he felt nervous about performing at T In The Park festival because Jay-Z was there, his biggest idol.

The Dirtee Disco rapper,  was on stage before Jay Z and revealed that he felt uneasy ahead of the gig because he looks up to the US music mogul.

The Daily Star reported Dizzee saying:  "I get nervous around Jay because I care so much about what he does and what he thinks about my music,"

He also added: "How he carries himself is incredible. I really respect him."

Rascal also told the tabloid how he feels about inspiring a new wave of talent in the UK, including the rise of Frisky rapper Tinie Tempah.

The Bonkers MC said: "I'm not that much older than someone like Tinie so that’s a bit strange. In my music, I’ve always tried to give the game away, as well as making music.

"Certain people can see what I’m doing and I like it if they pay attention, get some help and look up to me in the same way I did with Jay-Z and still do now.

Dizzee finished by saying: "What I like is making music that’s about having a good time and lyrically is not going to offend anyone."
