Glastonbury 2009 Sold Out Five Months Before Festival

Glastonbury 2009 has already sold out according to the festival’s organisers. None of the headline acts have yet to be announced for the event which will take place in June.

An early deposit scheme which allows festival goers to snap up tickets with a deposit has been hailed a success, with 90% of tickets snapped up with it.

Emily Eavis, who runs Glastonbury with her father Michael, said: "We're chuffed to bits that we've managed to sell so many tickets so far ahead, especially when you look at the weather outside."

"Thanks to everyone for keeping the faith; it's certainly shaping up to be another vintage year for the Glastonbury Festival, with a brilliant line up to be unveiled in June."

Last year, there were 3,000 unsold tickets the day before the festival started. What do you think?

Would you buy tickets for a festival before the line-up is announced? Or have you bought tickets to Glastonbury already?
