NME reports that those who purchased tickets to the Big Green Gathering festival (which was cancelled this year) will be able to exchange them for a spot at the Big Chill festival, as long as said ticket holders are willing to part with another £20.
Though the Big Green Gathering had been slated to take place July 29- August 2 in Somerset, it was cancelled because of legal advice given to organizers concerning the threat of an injunction from the local council.
Even with the cancellation in effect, thousands gathered at the location gates just before the festival had been scheduled to begin.
Failed concert goers can now take their Big Green Gathering tickets to the Big Chill and gain entry with the tickets and an additional £20. The Big Chill is scheduled to take place August 6-9 at Eastnor Castle Deer Park in Herefordshire.
Artists featured on the Big Chill billing include Spiritualized, British Sea Power, Gruff Rhys and Talvin Singh, with more information available from the festival’s website at Bigchill.net.
