Additional tickets for Michael Jackson’s string of This Is It performances have gone on the market, the BBC reports. The tickets for the London O2 performances will go up for grabs on Wednesday.
The extra tickets – deemed “limited” and reportedly numbered in the hundreds for each show – were previously unreleased because logistics for the performances had not yet been configured.
Those fans which were already registered on the singer’s website will be submitted to a lottery in order to purchase the newly available tickets.
When the first 750,000 tickets when on sale in March they quickly sold out – but Jackson will not be beginning his fifty show run until July 13, five days later than originally planned. The first four shows were shuffled to the end of the line after the shows’ organizer AEG Live decided that the singer needed more time to rehearse.
Many fans worry that Jackson will not come through with these scheduled dates, and there were several complaint from fans who purchased tickets to the first four shows at having to wait until next year to see their This Is It performance.
In related news, the singer is being sued for his O2 Arena residency by a company which organized a Jackson Five concert and claim that the residency is a contract violation between the singer and organizers AllGood Entertainment.
